If you were to ask Cheryl, "When is Chris most happy?", the answer should have something to do with electronics, exotic cars, or some combination of both. No offense to you babe. On the other hand, if you were to ask me, "When is Cheryl most happy?", my answer would be "When she's either with her mom or sister". I tell you now, I will defend that answer till the day I die because every good husband knows: A happy wife is a happy life.
The colors of the guitars and water fountain along Olvera Street were just too beautiful to pass by without a photo. This fountain marks the spot where the Zanja Madre (Mother Ditch) flowed and channeled the water of the Los Angeles river to citizens of the city for 123 years (1781 - 1904).
Enjoying some fresh taquitos at Juanita's.
If you know me well enough, you'll know there's just something about a fresh churro that makes my heart skip a beat. The sweet smell of cinnamon and sugar rolled over a flaky pastry - mmmmm. The only way it could be better is if I paid 6 dollars for it.
A couple shots of beautiful Union Station.
All that walking - these chairs were just what the doctor ordered.
Most of the weekend was spent at home just relaxing and cooking. Cheryl got to spend some quality time with her mom and I was fortunate enough to be included in some of the fun. When guests come to visit our humble abode in Los Angeles, we are reminded of how fortunate we are to have an extra bedroom to offer our friends and family whenever they are in town.
