Double Feature in Oregon

Quite some time ago, Cheryl and I purchased plane tickets to fly up to Red Bluff for Memorial Day weekend. Cheryl had planned a baby shower for Marcie and the event was going to be held at the Wess house in Red Bluff. Unfortunately, the first change in plans occurred when Marcie's doctor placed her on bed rest the week before our trip. The baby shower was postponed and our plans changed to just relaxing in Red Bluff with the family. The second change came when the twin boys were born 2 day before we arrived! So, needless to say - we revamped our plans to make the most of the situation.

We flew in late Thursday night and thanks to Cheryl's brother Travis and his wife Karen, we were able to get a ride from the airport to Cheryl's parents house. We rented a car early Friday morning and headed to Chico to spend the day with Cheryl's other brother and his family.

Every time we see the kids, its like no time has passed. Straight to playing with Uncle Chris, the human jungle gym.

Alise says "Hang loose".

Ready, set, SCOOT! That's a small scooter there Cheryl.

Enjoying a ride around town in the back of the Mustang.

Just ignore the car talk in the back ground and listen to the awesome cover of Britney Spears "Crazy".

Guess what car Tayden will be driving when he turns 16.

We laughed and played all day, then headed back to rest up for the long drive to Oregon. At the crack of dawn on Saturday morning, Cheryl and I grabbed a cup of Joe and hit the road.

We were fortunate enough to have a crystal clear view of Mount Shasta and took the opportunity to fully enjoy the drive. 5 and a half hours later, we arrived at the hospital to meet our new nephews.

Reed: 2lbs 11 oz.

Davis grabbed my finger with his whole hand and wouldn't let go.

Mommy and Aunt Cheryl admiring the miracle before them.

Cheryl and I were amazed at the beauty and grandeur of the hospital Marcie stayed at for the birth of her boys. It was more like an Alpine luxury lodge than a hospital, but hey, no ones complaining. We took the opportunity to take some pictures in the lobby before Marcie came home.
