Another trip to Fresno under out belt. I'll admit, Cheryl and I were a little hesitant about a road trip with the current gas prices. Thankfully, we got our car back from the shop on the 28
th of May and not a moment too soon - see the post below "In the blink of an eye". We were extremely pleased to find our investment in a Toyota has yielded 415 miles on 10.2 gallons. If you calculate that out - which I have already, that's 40.7 miles to the gallon. Granted that's highway miles, but nevertheless, 34 mpg in the city is just fine for me. I digress. This weekend, although
extremely busy, turned out to be another wonderful trip to spend time with my side of the family. Cheryl and I have decided to adopt the concept of "Labors of Love" and just give all that we can while we are up in Fresno. It has become an amazing tool of ministry to my family and has worked to make our trips much more enjoyable and
a lot less chaotic. Planning and preparing for the
Shamlian "party of the year" was much appreciated by my parents and I'm sure
Adrina had a great time. We are so proud of her accomplishments and hope she stays strong with God throughout the challenging years of college.

My whole family: (Left to Right) Tammy (1st year NYU Dental Student),
Adrina (recent High School Grad), Rita (Mom), and Dennis (Dad).

My Dad's side of the family: Grandma Roxie, my gorgeous wife, Aunt Jessie, me, and Aunt Vickie.

My Grandma Gina (Mom's side) and my Uncle Robert (Mom's sister's husband). And yes, my grandma is wearing a pink
bedazzeled shirt that says "Fabulous". Don't ask.

Dancing late into the night.
Really late into the night. Isn't that right Alex.
