California Adventures in the Sun

Happy Valentine's Day!

So February is turning out to be quite the amusement park month. As I'm writing this I'm thinking of this upcoming weekend, when we will go to Knott's Berry Farm with Cheryl's mom and sister. There's really not much to say other than "I love amusement parks!" Something about the constant smell of churros in the air, the exciting and fun rides around every corner, and the sound of screaming children in the background. Oh wait, scratch that last one. This weekend was a little different because it wasn't raining, which we were GUARANTEED it would by Mr. Weatherman. Dude, your job is to tell me what the weather will be over a span of 24hrs (that is all Cheryl and I were interested in). Tell me if I should bring a raincoat and umbrella or a light sweater and sunglasses. Guess which one it ended up being...

So Cheryl and I knew that the ride lines would get long a few hours after the park opened so we hit the big name rides first. Tower of Terror, California Screamin', Toy Story Mania, and Soarin' over California.

Fun, but short.

Yeah, I took a picture of the screen. Big woop.

Toy Story Mania was FUN! I got a score of 164,000. Not bad for my first try.

This is not ok. Anywhere. That's a dude on the left if you're wondering.

I was able to get a picture of the only cloud in the sky. Top right.

It's hard to be a bug: Bug's Life Theater.

Cheryl and I really love these 3D theaters. Honey I shrunk the audience 3D, and Muppet's 3D - we loved them all.

The amusement park desserts - simply delicious. Mud n' Bugs Shake. You know what they say, "When in bugland..."

The Hollywood back lot. It looks more realistic when you see the blue sky behind it. Those painters are amazing.
