Culver City: Back to the 50's Car Show

It was last year this time that we were on our way North to Fresno for Mother's Day. I'd like to say that I was excited for the weekend, but I would be lying. I know, I know - I love my mother and would not miss a Mother's Day; I was just upset that out of all the weekends to have the annual Culver City's 'Back to the 50's' Car Show - they choose this one. Really, Mother's Day?! I guess a day without her husband in the house is enough of a gift. Anyway, God must have heard my prayers because Mother's Day at my house was moved up a week early so Cheryl and I got to go to the car show! And without further delay, I give you... awesomeness.

Here are my personal favorites.

Best Paint Job.
This orange was just magnificent.

Ghost flames and skulls under the hood. Wow.

Best 80's Icon Car!
C'mon - was there every any competition?

This is the only car I know that looks
this good after a session with Bar Keepers Friend!

Best Classic. (VW Van in the background is a close second ;)
The Original...

The New Guy.

Most Ridiculous Vehicle.
The "BatSmart" Car. Complete with authentic bat wings.

Most Recognizable in the Deep South.
Ladies and Gentleman - The General Lee.

Beautiful Day for a Car Show.

Best Roadster.

Look at the size of that blower!

Best of Show. (At least for me)
1970 Plymouth Barracuda

The color is absolutely perfect.

I'm a sucker for clean rides. Gorgeous.

Until next year. Should i start praying from now?
