The last home game

Just as quickly as the Trojan football season arrived, it has departed. I will spare you all the gruesome details, but many are calling it the worst season of Pete Caroll's career as head coach. That, along with some other ridiculous statistics, culminated in the defeat or our warriors on our own soil on a dreary December afternoon. *tear*

But I'm not blogging to talk sports, I'm blogging to talk tailgating. That's right, I can honestly say that without our legendary tailgating, this season might have been lost in a sea of suppressed bad memories. No, it will live on - and we will learn from it. First, monkey bread is best served warm.

Second, the concept of using cookie trays in the portable grill both aids in food preparation and cleanup as well. This idea was literally dreamt-up by Cheryl the night before the game. I severely underestimated the intensity which she takes her role regarding hospitality :-/

Do not let Shaheen have access to the entire dessert unless closely supervised.

Jalapeno tortillas with eggs, potatoes, fresh guacamole, bacon, cheese and salsa is the single greatest breakfast tailgate food.

If you plan on wearing green to a USC game, don't be surprised if you are ONE of only TWO people in a stadium that seats 100,000 wearing that color.

The champagne for the mimosas is sticky. Unless you just won a Nascar race, don't try this at home.

Yes, that is George Lopez conducting the USC band (rather poorly) while they played the song Lowrider with the help from the band that made it famous, War.

Another great season at the Coliseum. This year proved that win or lose, the Trojans have more heart and more class than any other NCAA team. We will be back next year, rain or shine, win or lose, to support our team. Forever Fight On!
