NYC Dental School Graduation

Talk about a New York minute.  I was still surrounded by boxes when I started packing for my trip out to New York with my family for my sisters dental school graduation.  Although, I have nothing to complain about since Tammy took the trip out to LA to see me graduate and she still had 3 weeks left of school.  The last time I was in NYC was with Cheryl to see my cousin Talene get married.  I still remember how hectic of a trip that was and by the looks of it, this trip was heading in the same direction.  After an EARLY flight into JFK, we grabbed a taxi and headed to Tammy's apartment to get some rest and help her get some of her stuff packed for the big move.

Bird's Eye view of Central Park - It's HUGE!

Having a late breakfast at Tammy's apartment.  We were so exhausted.
The next day we all got ready for the graduation ceremony.  Who ever decided that a Thursday afternoon graduation time was conducive to travelling families needs to have their head examined.  Anyway, we were able to get to the venue early enough to snag some decent seats.  Unlike my graduation, were anyone and everyone was invited, NYU had a strict cap on the amount of friends and family that were invited - kinda lame.  Regardless, we all made it (except for Cheryl who took a much anticipated trip to visit her family) to support Tammy on her amazing accomplishment.

Congratulations Dr. Tamara Shamlian DDS

The Brooklyn Bridge.  See, still time to do touristy things.
Tammy's cubicle and dental chair.
Another whirlwind trip to the Big Apple and another Dr. in the family.  Congratulations Tammy, I am so proud of you and all of your accomplishments.  Only you have what it takes to grab NYC by the horns and survive in the city that never sleeps.  See you back in Fresno!
