Annabel's first Big Road Trip

We had been preparing for this trip for a few weeks now.  Everyday, we would try to run at least one errand around town so Annabel would get used to being in her car seat.  Ideally, she would learn to love the car trips, thus making our 5 1/2 hour drive up north to see the family a little more pleasant.  Needless to say, I brought ear plugs just in case.  We hit the road early so we would have plenty of time for rest stops along the way, however Annabel decided to sleep from Fresno all the way to Woodland.  The rest of the drive was pretty smooth and we made it to Red Bluff by early afternoon.  The cousins were already there waiting to meet her.

Alise did a great job holding her and made sure to support her head  :)

Tayden also got to hold her.

Aunt Marcie was so excited to meet her new little niece.
Reed and Davis are growing so big - I can hardly believe it was only
3 months ago when we saw them last.

Alise snuck in the picture and gave Tayden some bunny ears
as he was posing in-front of his creation.

One of the reasons for the trip was a "meet and greet" for all of Cheryl's friends and extended family to also come and see Annabel.  Marcie and Susie did a marvelous job and everything turned out perfect.

Some delicious cake pops and mini apple turnovers.

A Diaper cake - How Cool?!

And yes, that is a bouquet of onesies. Awesome!

This was the onesie Cheryl wore when she was a baby.
We just took a picture of Annabel wearing it and it barely fits her.  She's growing so fast!

Annabel was a good baby and decided to sleep nearly the entire time .
This way, whoever wanted to hold her could enjoy some cuddle time.

Here is Alise modeling our new school desk for Annabel.
Thanks Grandpa!

A fun little game called, what's in the diaper?
Apparently, Cheryl wasn't quite sure.

One way to find out is to eat it..... That's just wrong Marcie!

A group picture of the Wess kids and their childhood friends.

Family picture.  Unfortunately, we are missing Chris.
Maybe I'll Photoshop him in?
On our way back home, we met Aunt Jan and Karen in Williams and spent a little time exchanging babies and gifts.  It was so nice to be able to see them, however brief it may have been.

Karen made Annabel a cute fishing onesie out of a shirt.  What a crafty lady.

Aunt Jan was enjoying her Annabel Time.

It was a fun trip, and we will get to see them all again as a family come December.   Until Then, Happy Thanksgiving.
