April Roundup

As usual, this month was full of events in the lives of the Shamlian Family.  Cheryl's parents came down for a few days to hang out and spend some time with Annabel.  Easter, from the previous post, was quite fun and Cheryl really got to flex her hospitality muscles.  Everything turned out wonderful babe, thanks for the effort.

ANNABEL CUT HER FIRST TOOTH!  You could imagine my excitement, as I am a dentist, and got to perform her first dental exam! :)  You better brush your teeth sweetie.

I barely got the shot, but look at that cute one-toothed grin.

Another huge milestone for Annabel is Solid Foods!  For the past month or so she has been staring at Cheryl and I as we eat dinner.  So, after six months of life, she finally got to try some rice cereal.  Lets put that one tooth to use.

You would think she knew exactly how food tasted by her reaction.

Since Annabel has outgrown her bassinet, she has been sleeping in her crib.  We started getting her used to the crib for naps at around 4 months of age, and went full time about a month ago.  She sleeps just fine and we sometimes don't here her wake up.  When we check to see if she is ok, this is what we sometimes see...

Hello?!  Is anybody there... I can see you watching me.

The rest of April has seemed like one large transition.  Cheryl and I have been packing up some of Annabel's things (Cradle Swing, Bassinet, Bumbo seat, and Playtime Bouncer) either because she has outgrown them or because she can roll out of them.  So, to replace some of the toys Annabel can no longer use, we rummaged through her closet and got out some more toys she CAN play with, one of them being her outdoor swing.

After getting the swing hung, we got Annabel bundled up and headed outside to see if she liked it.

She loved it!

We had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa and can't wait to take a trip
up to Red Bluff at the end of May.

What's next for Annabel? Perhaps Crawling? We'll have to wait until next month to find out.
