Every year, as winter releases it's icy grip on nature and life awakens to days that are longer and warmer, it serves as a perfect reminder for Easter; When Christ rose from the grave giving us a new life and a new beginning as his forgiven people. This year, Cheryl decided she wanted to do Easter at our house with all the fun decorations and delicious food. Who am I to say no.
After everything was set-up and organized, we got all dressed up and went to my parents church for the Easter service. It was a great opportunity for us to see some of my old family friends and introduce them to Annabel. She, of course, stole the show.

Here's a funny story... In the picture above, you can see a small flower arrangement. Cheryl had found some cute silver buckets, tied ribbon around it, and bought some fresh flowers to place on the table. Right before we left for church, we put some water in the buckets so the flowers wouldn't wilt. When we arrived home, we found the bucket's had leaked the water all over the table cloth, drenching it. All the cute paper rabbits and chicks, the napkins, and the paper place settings were soaked. In a moment of panic, I looked up at Cheryl only to see her smile and say - oh well, it's not worth the stress to worry about it. She had just spent the better part of a week, planning, preparing, and arranging a beautiful Easter lunch for my family and 2 Dollar Store buckets had ruined everything. Regardless, she was still smiling and refused to let this catastrophe ruin her Easter celebration. At that moment, I felt both heartbroken and extremely proud of my beautiful wife. So, being the "man-of -action" that I am, I stripped off all the tableware, ran the paper decorations outside to dry in the sunshine, and threw the table cloth in the dryer. 15 minutes later, we were back in action.
