Greystone Park Photo Shoot

We've finally purchased a new camera. Actually, it's the first camera I've ever purchased. My first camera was a hand-me-down from my father, a 3.2 Megapixel Sony Cybershot with a Carl Zeiss Lens. It took great pictures, but I lost the power chord on vacation and just haven't had the heart, or the money, to either throw the camera away, or fork out some more dough for a new power chord. It just seemed pointless considering cell phones now come with 3 MP cameras! Anyway, the next camera I acquired was through a trade - believe it or not. Back in my college days, I lived with a couple buddies, one of whom was Chris Alexander. I owned a nice shirt he had had his eye on ever since I let him borrow it for a date. Apparently, it was the best shirt he'd ever worn. I was camera-less, and so... voila, I was the owner of a brand new Samsung 4 MP digital camera. It was given to him as a gift and he wasn't impressed with it, so I took it off his hands. Fair trade. Cheryl and I decided that we wouldn't lose any precious memories on account of a second rate camera - so we bought a Canon SD 870is. It needed to be portable (goodbye SLR) yet capable. Today, we put our camera through the rigors. I think we chose well.

A beautiful picture with vibrant colors.

Excellent macro capabilities.

A little fun with sephia tones.

My favorite picture.
