USC Football - Arizona State Sun Devils

A little change of pace this weekend. The USC vs. ASU game started at 12:30 - meaning we would be spending every glorious moment of the tailgate and game - in the sun. Despite our best preventative measures, Cheryl and I got a little of that "healthy" glow. I guess when it comes to direct sun exposure over long periods of time, SPF 30 just won't cut it. Lesson learned. Anyway, the game went great, USC 28 - ASU 0, which means USC has a chance to make it back into the top 5 AP rankings. Although ASU was unranked, we gave them a whomping to remember and that's good news for any Trojan.

I must admit however, the real fun began way before the game even started. Cheryl's mom's good friend Donna's Sister's family (that's a mouthful) invited us to their tailgate and let's just say - they know a thing or two about awesome tailgates.

Here's the catch. This tailgate lasted only 3 hours; 8:30 - 11:30ish, on account of the early game. At a typical tailgate, they have close to THREE meals before they even enter the stadium - AWSOME. The food and drinks were delicious and everything was planned out so perfectly. Cheryl and I have already promised to join them for the tailgate of all tailgates: USC vs. NOTRE DAME. I have heard that they start at 8 am and tailgate all day, and that parking alone next to the stadium could cost you $200!! Thank you God for our parking pass. Another wonderful Saturday and another triumph for the might Trojans. Fight On!

The tailgate was right next to the gate where the team arrives. The whole bus was rocking from side to side. Those are some big dudes.

I get to sit next to her. Lucky me.

I love going to the games with you. It is such a fun time and we have already made so many memories in just 2 games. I can't wait for more good times at the USC football games.
