Happy Halloween

Today, our class had a costume party. Although there was no party, there were costumes - so I guess it was just a regular class with the usual cowboy, football player, and banana. As creative as I really am, I rarely have a venue upon which to stretch my brain and create something truly spectacular. This "Costume Thursday before Halloween" was just the opportunity I needed to blow some minds. It all began with the movie:

Iron Man

At first i didn't think much about the movie. A couple months went by and Halloween began to approach and it was about that time that I noticed an ordinary household appliance with tremendous potential: The 5 LED Puck Light

Now to the untrained eye, this looks like any other Bed,Bath, and Beyond trinket; However, there was much more potential for this contraption than just a convenient source of light. I would become Tony Stark, Iron Man's alter ego.

Now that I knew the look I was going for....

I could begin on the last piece of the costume, that car battery he's holding.

1 rectangular box
1 Express shopping bag (black)
Speaker wire
Marker, scissors, and tape
1 hour...

Ladies and gentlemen... Tony Stark (from the scene where he is under captivity by the terrorists).

Unbeknownst to me, the costumes at school were being judged by the community council and they selected yours truly as the first prize winner. $20 gift card to starbucks - Cheryl was ecstatic.

The whole gang: L to R: Wicked Witch of the East, Cat, Bee, Banana (It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time!), Native American, Popeye, Rabbi, Cowboy/girl, Iron Man, Soccer player, and girl with rabbit ears (lame).

Happy Halloween!!
