Carney's on Sunset

Its time again for Cheryl and I to get out of our comfort zone and explore something new in LA. After church on Sunday, we decided to visit Carney's for lunch, and knock something off our "LA To-Do List". A city icon known for it's chili, burger, and dogs, this restaurant had some serious potential to become a regular things for Cheryl and I.

After ordering our food, Cheryl proceeded in cutting her straw in order to limit the possibility of accidentally knocking her drink over (a wonderful little habit she picked up from her mother when she was a child). In the course of my mocking her and her lack of coordination, I nearly knocked my drink over AND put my foot in my mouth in one erratic hand-flailing motion.

As you can tell, the eating space was pretty tight, but was to be expected when your dining in a train car.

The food speaks for itself. Downright delicious. Chili Dog, Chili Fries, hamburger and regular fires = $13. Not bad for eating on Sunset Blvd.

The restaurant in its entirety. The lady in red is standing at the ordering counter which looks into another train car which hold the kitchen.

I wish I could tell you that after more than 2 years we were approaching the end of this list, but that would be a lie. It seems that just going about our day and talking with people, we notice, and are made aware, of many more places we HAVE to go/try. We are convinced that this list will never be completed but we plan on trying regardless
