If you are wondering what the heck a Dente is, allow me to explain. Last year, our class decided to start an event, with the hopes of it becoming tradition,to have a class dance at the beginning of each year. Last year was our first try, and it became a smashing success. The dance was named "Make an Impression", a multiple meaning theme alluding to both the dental oriented definition of taking someone's mouth impression, and the fact that it was our first attempt at a class party. The welcomed escape from the daily scrubs, and bed-heads for a night to dress up and show your peers what you've got on the dance floor. This year was no different, with the exception that the class of 2012 was also asked to participate in a joint effort. And now, after a lengthy introduction, the reason for the dances peculiar name: Dens in Dente is a dental anomoly in which during developement, a persons tooth begins to turn within itself, giving it the appearance that there is a tooth inside of a tooth; thus Dens in Dente. So, an innocent play on words and you have Dance in Dente.

The beautiful Town and Gown Hall on the USC Campus. Buffet food table, 3 open bars, and a huge dance floor = LOTS O' FUN.
We make a great looking couple. We decided on dark blue this year instead of
last years black and cream combo. Dynamite!

Yazan my MAIN MAN!
The ever changing face of D2.

One of my closest friends, Shaheen "livin' the dream" Moezzi
Who else would you expect to bring a glow-stick to a formal dance.

Our good friends Allison and Chandler. So much fun.
Troy and Yazan. Looking studly.

Another great event to start another great year. See ya next year. PEACE!
(I didn't know this at the time, but I struck nearly the same exact pose at the end of last years dance. I'm detecting a trend.)

How many in your class?
144 (not including the ASPID students). ASPID stands for Advanced Specialty Pre-Doctorate International Dentists. Essentially they are dentists from other countries who have to start as juniors to become dentists in the US. About 180 people showed up from both 2012s and 2011s.
