Mother's Day

First of all, Happy Mother's Day to all mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, and soon to be mothers. I believe that motherhood is THE most important job on this planet and you ladies are phenomenal.

Cheryl and I took a trip up to Fresno this past weekend and spent some quality time with my side of the family. Although short, this trip was jam-packed with activities (normal for the Shamlians) and was probably the reason for the coffee this morning. Nevertheless, the Brazilian barbeque, Sunday morning pancake breakfast, and after-church Mother’s day Luncheon constantly had us in the company of good food, and good people. We will be heading back up in the beginning of June for my youngest sister’s graduation party – stay tuned for more details. It should be a blast!

Cheryl and my mom, Rita. Those cupcakes were out of this world! See Cheryl's Blog for details.

My parent's beautiful backyard. We had the privilege of spending the night in the cabana. It was like a mini tropical vacation.
